A few days ago Jay-z announced that he will be Premiering the official video for D.O.A Death of Autotune and basically put the whole world on the edge with anticipation. This is the unofficial single (street single) from Jay-z upcoming album Blueprint 3. Recently Jay released the track on Hot 97 with funk flex and in a matter of two days he had thousands of people singing it at Summerjam 2009 so i guess Jay knows that people are patiently awaiting the works from blueprint 3. Jay has made another announcement… done deal. autotune is over
Oh man, Jay’s back to killing them! And did anyone catch all his targets’ faces? Priceless! And the best thing about it is he’s RIGHT! Hip Hop and Rap has lost their way along the artificial highway. Where’s my conscientious rhymers? OutKast? Talib Kweli? Nope, they get little to no airplay. Why? Because if their song doesn’t have explicit lyrics with an over-synthesised beat, you don’t get much airplay.(However I will say that Nas sent the warning flare up to the fake ass rappers first with Hip Hop Is Dead)
