Despite being a Brooklyn native, Panama considers himself an international artist who transcends stereotypical racial and ethnic boundaries. Both of his parents, who are originally from Panama, made sure to instill his cultural roots at a young age, and for this reason Panama still acknowledges his Hispanic heritage through his name and his image.
Currently, Panama is representing Baltimore where he spent a great deal of his life growing up and where much of his artistic career was honed and developed. He names Coldplay and Kanye West as contemporary inspirations, but beyond the mainstream, Panama wants to ensure that his music delivers quality and not just quantity.
However, this young entrepreneur doesn’t limit himself to musical creativity and has branched off into other areas of the entertainment industry. As for the music, Panama hopes that his audiences will be able to connect with him on a deeper level through his lyrics. Everything he has to say reflects his life and experiences he’s dealt with personally and/or seen. He wants his music to be an embodiment of the truth and realness that he sees in himself. Panama’s motto in life is “Go hard or go home.” With a personal statement like that from an artist whose attitude toward his work is just as serious, who can expect any less?
